About Jamie
Hello and thank you for visiting my website!
I studied screenwriting at Bowling Green State University and earned a BA in Film Production. My short film script ‘War Torn’ has been a finalist in Nashville Film Festival Screenwriting Competition, Caledonia Short Script Competition, The Boston Screenplay Awards, and The Cindependent Film Festival.
I am working on a portfolio of short stories, flash fiction, and creative non-fiction pieces. Much of my work centers on the experiences of women and queer characters. I’ve had articles published on platforms such as The Mary Sue, Screen Queens, and Girls in Capes.
I’m also a producer Story Club Cleveland, a nonfiction storytelling event. Each month, we book two storytellers and host an open mic for locals to tell their tales.
As a lifelong fan of comedy, I started my own comedic journey at BGSU with the short-form improv troupe No Name Basis. After a post-grad hiatus, I joined the comedy scene in Cleveland, Ohio. I perform with Imposters Theater’s house long-form team IKEA NEAR ME. You can also catch me guesting on various shows around town. Right now, I am focusing on teaching and coaching improv comedy to newbies.
